I've got ravelry! I've got ravelry!
If I could take pictures of myself dancing, I would.

Elegy for a needle
I spent the last week in Kentucky for work. It was nice since the coworkers I went with didn't necessarily need me to spend time with so I was able to get lots of knitting done. Except last night as I was putting my stole into my suitcase, I unscrewed the knitpicks options needles and screwed on the stoppers so I wouldn't drop stitches. Well, one of the needle points dropped behind the dresser and I couldn't reach it. I could see it. So I got something to try to get it and then it disappeared. Sigh. Oh well. More later. Food sleep and laundry are in order.

It's feeling hot, hot, hot
After a while of being in the sun, the neck is starting to turn red (I swear the only part of me that actually gets burned, not matter how exposed I am or how much sunscreen I wear) and the heat induced migrane because too much, so this is what i did all day:
knitted in bed and listened to podcasts. Do I have to go to work tomorrow?

Finished objects with pictures!
So I finally finished some projects!
Dollar and a Half Cardigan
by Veronik Avery
Interweave Knits Spring 2007

I do have pictures of me wearing it, but for some reason no matter how I save the photos, if you take them sideways, they upload sideways. They are here though.
And this:

Its just a simple garter stitch blanket that I made increasing one stitch each row until I had a triangle big enough, and then decreasing 1 stitch each row. I added fringe that was orange and green and yellow that reminded me of 1970s upholstery. It will be nice once I get the red couch I'm waiting to buy.
Yay! I finally finished something. Both projects used Jagger Spun Zephyr.

The sweater that would not end
In January of 2006 I started the Clover Lace Cardigan from Stitch n Bitch nation. It was pink. I got all the way done with the main part of the sweater before I decided I didn't like how the stitch pattern reacted to decreases, so I frogged the entire sweater.
I then decided that it needed to be blue. I did the sleeves, the fronts, and was working on the back when my parents visited. My dad moved the couch to set up the air mattress, causing the needles with half a row worked to move, dropping a fair portion of stitches and rows, causing me to get the courage to decide I didn't want to be working the same pattern for a year and a half, so i'm now finding better uses for the the yarn. Maybe I'll design my own sweater.

I think I finally have the knitting blog mojo back after six months because I'm finally about to finish a sweater and I have no one around me to jump up and down with glee over it with me.
Also, if there is anyone out there reading this could they please tell me how to put those blog buttons on my blog? Thanks!
